Time spent in Amman

The location was very good. Many things g's were on walking distance. My room was comfortable

− The shower in my room was not good. The holes in thr shower head were blocked and it produced a very miss and thin shower. I found thr breakfast never changed . I was there for a number of days and it was the same food day after day.

The staff were very generous in allowing us to check in early at 10:00am, knowing we were exhausted after a long flight. This thoughtful gesture allowed us to rest before exploring Amman. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of options including local dishes. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and super friendly throughout our stay.

− Nothing in particular. However, in terms of location, there are no nearby convenience stores or shops within walking distance, so you would need to take a taxi to get around.

Nice stay centrally located in Amman

Everything was very convenient. From room layout, hotel location, helpful staff, decent breakfast, comfortable lobby, Hotel Toledo helps you fulfill your goals in Amman. Nothing is exceptional, but it gets the job done.

− The cleaning agents they use are extremely flagrant smelling. It is difficult to walk down a corridor or into your room soon after they were cleaned.

− They upgraded my room to Junior Suite which had no view. This was very annoying.

Toledo hotel is amazing and well worth the price.

Very comfortable, food was great, staff were always friendly and helpful. Facilities were also really good.

− Shower was open so the toilet was always wet but I stayed in 3 different hotels in Amman and all had the same issue.

The hotel was nice and I would definitely go back, but I would not eat there.

− The food on the other hand was OK at best. We ordered mixed grill on one night and pizza and lentil soup on the second. The mixed grill taste was based on a barbecue sauce and the way the meat was cooked was not the best. The lentil soup was too watery and two yellow and color.

Wonderful, unless you are a woman wanting to use the pool.

The hotel itself is lovely, the staff were very helpful and we liked our room. Breakfast was tasty and we loved the snacks in the lobby. If I hadn't had a bad experience (below) I'd be saying the hotel was wonderful and 10/10.

− Beware women who want to swim- I had a horrible experience using the pool- there were men in the womens' changing room. When we stayed (late Oct 2025) the pool and gym were open all day for men, but mixed (so women allowed) from 6am-2pm every day. While disappointed I could not use the pool the afternoon we arrived, I know things are different in this country and knew I'd need to work around some constraints. I went early the following morning, when mixed, and was shown to the (empty) women's changing rooms where I stripped down to my costume & board shorts, left my clothes in the changing room and went for my swim. When I came back to the changing room to change back to clothes to go back to my room, the womens changing room door was wide open and there was a man there (and several more men inside). When I said it was the women's changing room and pointed to the signs- the other for men ("men"), this one for women ("women") the man in there just smiled and said "no no, men men"). I said my clothes were in there, loudly announced I was coming in, got them and came back out. I had to walk back to my room via reception in a dripping wet swimming costume and towel. Something I wouldn't want to do in any country, let alone a muslim country. Thank goodness I had swum in a sleeved swimming costume and boardshorts (I try to be respectful when visiting other cultures). I knew the swimming pool and gym were mixed but NOT the changing rooms, which were labelled as women's (and I'd been shown there by a staff member). A horrible experience. I am just glad they were in there when I came back- if I had finished earlier, men could have walked in while I was changing and completely undressed. The men there seemed to think being in the clearly labelled women's changing room was normal.
